Erin Kapczynski has built her career as a marketing executive in media, technology and advertising. Currently serving as consultant and advisor to leading Silicon Beach startups and mid-stage businesses in adtech, Erin is helping to grow the next wave of unicorns. Erin’s passion for marketing centers on looking at how a business can transform and grow, leveraging data and user experience, while building customer trust. Erin helps clients plan and execute customer acquisition, content creation, and branding—often tying these pieces together to generate growth.

Coming into the role via acquisition, Erin was formerly VP of Marketing for the media and technology platform Purch, where she oversaw all global consumer and corporate marketing that grew audiences and accelerated ad sales and lead-gen deals for partners to well over $100M in annual revenue. Prior to Purch, Erin served as VP of Marketing at Panache, an early mover and market-leading digital video adtech business that was acquired by WPP. She also held senior-level marketing positions at Herbalife’s HQ and Move.

Shane Kelly

Shane Kelly is a venture investor and entrepreneur with a focus on emerging media technologies. He is the founding partner of Wolverine Angels, an early stage investment firm and mentor network with investments including Neurable and FEM (Acq Nielsen). The firm pools capital and expertise from University of Michigan alumni to accelerate early stage tech startups.

Previously, Shane helped GreeneStreet Films raise several rounds of venture capital and build a slate of over 20 motion pictures generating $250 million at the box office. Motion picture credits include Movie 43 and Awake. He is executive producer for the forthcoming documentary Restarting the Motor City on entrepreneurship in Detroit.

Since launching Wolverine Angels, Shane has immersed himself in new technologies and investment structures to expand access and reduce risk in venture investing. He has mentored in several accelerators including Techstars, Backstage Capital, Female Founders Alliance, and Plug in South LA. In 2017, he joined CrowdSmart to run its venture fund investments. He leveraged the company’s proprietary platform combining human expertise and artificial intelligence to increase transparency and reduce bias in the investment process. Shane led 15 investments by the fund including InvolveSoft and Syntiant.

Shane holds an MBA from University of Michigan and a BS from Morehouse College. While at Morehouse, he undertook the Semester at Sea voyage, circumnavigating Earth by boat in 100 days. His love for travel and exploration continues today..

Eyana Carballo leads Global Business Development and Technology Investments at BCG Digital Ventures, a corporate investment and incubation subsidiary of Boston Consulting Group. In this role, Carballo is responsible for identifying global investment initiatives that support the development of intellectual property, drive new business, and enhance offerings and capabilities with emerging technology. In addition, she was recently appointed to lead the Global Black Employee Affinity group.
Carballo has over 16 years of experience leading corporate innovation with Fortune 500 companies, and was recognized for those achievements in the 2020 Startup Guide Los Angeles, an Entrepreneur’s Handbook.
Eyana holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Florida A&M / Florida State College of Engineering, and was awarded a National Science Foundation scholarship for her academic achievements. Carballo is currently enrolled in the Executive Program at UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Mike Su is a seasoned digital media executive, having built multiple brands from the ground up. He is currently an executive on the content team at Snapchat, where he runs Yellow, an accelerator program investing in companies at the intersection of creativity and technology. Prior to Snap, Mike was Chief Product Officer at mitú, the largest Latinx focused digital media company, where he oversaw product, audience development and data. Mike helped transform mitú from a Multi-Channel Network to a full fledged digital media brand, garnering over half a billion content views a month. Previously, Ed held leadership roles with LG Electronics and Simon-Kucher & Partners, a global management consulting firm. As the Director of Innovation for LACERS, one of the largest retirement systems and pension funds in the US, I lead digital transformation across a variety of operational verticals, including administration, member services, and human resources. Prior to this role, I was the Chief Innovation Officer for the City of LA’s Office of Finance, a 300 member department tasked with driving up to $8 billion annually in revenue for the City.

A product and program developer and sales enablement lead at heart, I helped launch Tap.in2, a sports-tech company funded by Rock Ventures and in play in over 32 sports and entertainment properties throughout the US while leading the design-build of its signature mobile POS solution. I’ve also led the design-build of a mixed-medium digital selling platform for Capital Group/American Funds – a first of its kind initiative for the company that paired sales, marketing, and digital to drive client adoption.

Mark is the Chief Marketing Officer of Gooten, a globally distributed production and logistics company transforming the way online brands manufacture and fulfill merchandise to their customers. He is responsible for all facets of marketing including branding, content marketing, customer acquisition, and loyalty programs.

Prior to joining Gooten, Mark started Screen Sitters after seeing the challenge working parents now face to maintain their jobs, home-school their children, and have opportunities to either get work done or simply relax. Screen Sitters runs a DTC business as well as provides sitter sessions to companies across the US as a new employee benefit – helping work from home employees survive each day.

Mark was also the CEO and Managing Director of Kontrol Media Corp, a digital strategy agency, serving corporate clients, brands, and startups. Mark also served as the former Chief Marketing Officer of Wrench, the market leader for on-demand car care directly to your home or office. With a data-driven approach, he managed all marketing aspects of both the DTC facing business and the fleet B2B business at Wrench.

Beyond Gooten, Mark is a Venture Partner at Arrowroot Capital, where he focuses on investments in the SaaS market in need of growth capital. He is also the Executive Director of the UCLA Venture Capital Fund, supporting innovation by young entrepreneurs. He also spends time advising first-time entrepreneur startup businesses as part of the LA Chamber of Commerce’s Bixel Exchange. Mark holds over 15 patents from his work in data and digital media.
